Meet Jonathan Ghazal
Licensed Athletic Trainer, educator, and sports safety advocate serving the greater Willamette Valley, and all of Oregon.
Jonathan ghazal, ms, lat, atc - owner and founder of sentinel sports care
The Sentinel Philosophy
I founded Sentinel Sports Care because I believe every athlete deserves a dedicated guardian on the sideline. In the high-stakes environment of modern athletics, a 'Sentinel' isn't just there to react to an injury — we are there to maintain a constant, vigilant watch over safety protocols, emergency readiness, and clinical standards.
Clinical Expertise
Jonathan's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Oregon State University, and a Master's Degree in Sports Administration from Arkansas State University, combined with nearly 15 years of evidence-based Athletic Training experience. This allows him to bridge administrative oversight with hands-on clinical care, managing everything from concussion surveillance to emergency preparedness.
Serving the Willamette Valley
Based in Salem, Sentinel Sports Care serves athletes and organizations across the Willamette Valley region, aiming to bring professional-level care to those communities and the communities across the state of Oregon.
Behind the Shield
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family exploring Oregon's natural spaces — hiking trails, coastal trips, and fishing — and is deeply rooted in the local community.
